Colloboh, who performs the evening prior in The Listening Garden, selects & introduces* this timeless LP on vinyl, in conversation with local artist Earthtones:
• Eugene McDaniels’ ‘Headless Heroes of the Apocalypse’ •
*PLS NOTE that Colloboh will not be performing during this gathering, but will perform the evening before at Light and Space
OUR SELECTOR
COLLOBOH
Colloboh (a portmanteau of Collins Oboh) is a Nigerian-born, Los Angeles-based experimental producer and composer who has spent the past several years cultivating genre-spanning modular wizardry. Signed to Leaving Records since 2021, he has become a fixture of Los Angeles’ vibrant experimental scene following a move from Baltimore. Colloboh’s latest, ‘Saana Sahel’ (2023), showcases the breadth of the fledgeling composer’s ambitions.
Join to hear how Eugene McDaniels’ ever-prescient ‘Headless Heroes of the Apocalypse’ is Collins’ all-time favorite record, which he found in a dollar bin (a dope find, considering its rarity).
